Contracting Shine Interactive

• After we've provided you with a cost estimate we require the estimate to be signed and faxed back, accompanied by a valid purchase order before we will commence with the project.

• A 50% deposit is required before we will commence with the project.

• Shine Interactive works on a COD principal. The balance for any work we complete will become fully payable on the date of delivery. Interest will be charged at Prime +5 for any outstanding accounts older than 30 days.

• We will not accommodate 30, 60 or 90 day payment cycles.

Standard Rates

• All Graphic Design will be charged at R450 per hour excl. VAT, where the minimum amount billable is R450 excl. VAT. This includes photo manipulation, logo design, brochure design, business card design, general page layout or any other discipline related to Graphic Design.

• Animation will be assessed and charged based per project. Shine will charge between R1000 and R2300 per finished screen second excluding VAT. The type of project, time to completion and resources involved will determine the final costing. The costs generally include most aspects of the project including time, render time, compositing, motion graphics and final file delivery.

Copyright and Distribution rights

• Shine Interactive is the owner of all artwork and source code generated by the company. The only exception to this is where Shine has acquired the services, licenses or products of third party suppliers who owns their respective copyrights on such material.

• In essence what the client is paying for is the time to create the art or source code. In turn Shine grants the client a license of exclusive use for the resulting product.

• The client is not entitled to any source files, be it for graphics or code, as all rights to the source lies with Shine Interactive.

• Intellectual copyright of exclusive products is kept by the client. Such concepts and developments will be honored by Shine Interactive and we will under no circumstance claim ownership of such intellectual copyright.

Purchasing a FlexiShell License

• Upon purchase the full balance becomes payable immediately. We also required the cost estimate to be signed and purchase order before commencing with any work.

• In the case where additional development is required a 50% deposit is required for the additional development costs over and above the standard module prices, followed by the balance on completion of the development, except for where development is estimated at more than 1 month. In this instance the balance will be payable in installments over the estimated development period.

• We will invoice an annual renewal fee for FlexiShell. This includes the domain name renewal.

• We will send invoices by the 14th of the month and is to be settled on or before the last day of the month. Late payments will be charged interest at Prime +5.
