Shine Interactive has been actively involved in the Sun City Million Dollar Pigeon Race for almost 5 years now. Shine's involvement ranges right through from the administration platform to the main show.

Web and Admin

Shine Developed a comprehensive management system that allows the administrators to manage the race from literally anywhere in the world. The site also allows entrants to log in and get status updates on their account real time. The system manages all aspects of the race, right through from the capturing of data, managing entries to taking care of the race season, capturing results, real time reporting on those results, statistics, performance graphs and the final auctions after the race.

The sheer complexity of the race administration has lead to the implementation of three servers this year, serving critical parts of the world with results.

Race Day

Shine Interactive also produces a real time results system on race day for the race. This system implements Flash, drawing data live from the database and displaying it in real time animated display system on the big screens. Shine also produces animated title sequences, adverts and a number of real time information for these screens.
